Susten Pass

This really was another spectacular drive, I don’t think I can get sick of the scenery of Switzerland! Susten Pass is another famous Swiss road located 2260m high in the Bernese Oberland.  It’s regarded as one of the best mountain passes in Switzerland, along with the passes of Furka and Grimsel. Due to the high altitude, the weather can often be poor, however I was fortunate with clear skies! It’s a very picturesque pass with some of the best scenery in Switzerland. The pass road is an ideal touge road, which is wide with nice hairpins and a generous speed limit. There are ample overtaking opportunities on this pass, even though there is minimal traffic compared to Furka. I had a clear run and the drive was great fun! I am amazed with Swiss roads in general, as they are very well maintained with no bumps or potholes. This pass should be on every motoring enthusiasts list, it’s definitely worth driving.
