Sports Car Rental in Japan

Touge Japan Begins!

For the next few weeks I’m going to drive the best mountain passes and Touge roads in Japan. For this journey I have hired a JDM sports car from “Omoshiro“. If you’re after a sports car rental in Japan, seriously this is the place to go. They have a large range of sports cars from Nissan’s, Honda’s, Toyota’s and Euro cars. They have a few shops in Tokyo, the Noda shop has the largest selection of cars, but is a bit of a hassle to get to. The car rental is affordable even for long term rentals and the cars are in excellent condition.

The Narita shop is convenient, if you’re flying into Narita like I was.  I opted for a FD2R, as I enjoy driving high revving Honda’s and it was available from their Narita Shop.

Getting There

I flew into Narita in the evening and stayed the night at ”Hotel Nikko’. This was quite convenient as they offer a complementary shuttle from the airport. The Omoshiro rental shop is a 5 minute walk from this hotel. Picking up the car was a quick and a straight forward process. The host was great and explained the terms of the rental agreement well. There was no limit on kilometers, and insurance was included.

The Car

The car was in great condition, it had low Kilometers and was really clean in and outside. I was looking forward to driving this on the famous Japanese Touge roads!

Next Stop

Next stop is Hakone, I am planning to stay at an AirBnB there, from which I will use as a base to explore some of the great Touge roads in the area, including, Hakone Turnpike, Izu Skyline, Hakone Skyline , Mt Fuji and more.

Stay tuned.
